Dartmouth is not only a beautiful place with a fascinating variety of buildings, but also a very historic town which has played an important role in English history over many centuries.

The Society has recently published a new edition of it's Brief Historical Guide of 28 pages, including old photographs and maps, to introduce visitors to Dartmouth’s rich history.
